Each exercise is a circuit of CMOS 4000 chips on a breadboard with a full set of materials: how it works, the chips, three schematics, a wiring checklist, and the same circuit in SystemVerilog, with a testbench and the files to run it on an FPGA board or on Tiny Tapeout.

Traffic light from a decade counter

Timofei Nikiforov's circuit: a 4017 decade counter steps through ten states, and OR gates turn them into 4 seconds of red, 2 of yellow and 4 of green.
